So after five years of development the concept of Parksafe was created whereby every parking bay would have a Parksafe Sensor installed, these being automatically monitored, and overseen by one Controlling Officer in a proactive sense i.e. as soon as a vehicle was 'Disturbed' CCTV cameras would activate and warn the Controller as regards the safeguard of the car or its contents.
On 18th January 1998 Parksafe opened its first car park at Bold Lane in a Partnership Agreement with Derby City Council. Throughout this period and to date the car park has a crime free record.
