372 Questionnaires were completed on Wednesday 18 and Saturday 21 November 1998.

52% of those surveyed were female. 48% male

54% of those surveyed lived in Derby, 27% lived in Derbyshire and the remaining 19% lived outside Derbyshire

67% of those surveyed were visiting Derby to shop, 14% were on business and 19% visited for other reasons

Those surveyed were asked a series of questions and asked to rate their reply on a score of 1 to 5 with 1 being very good, 2 being good, 3 average, 4 poor and 5 very poor. The answers to those questions are summarised below:

83% of people considered the car park very easy to find, 10% thought it easy, 5% average, 1% poor and 1% very poor

80% of people thought the car park was very easy to use, 13% thought it easy, 5% average, and 2% thought it poor to use

86% of people thought the car park was very well lit and laid out, 10% thought it was well lit and laid out, 3% considered it to be average while 1% considered it to be poor

93% of people thought the car park was very clean, 6% thought it clean and 1% considered it to be average

81% of people thought the car park was very convenient for the places they wanted to visit

94% of people felt that their car and property were very safe within the car park, 4% thought their car and property were safe and 1% considered it to be average with a further 1% thinking it less than average

95% of people using the car park felt very safe when using the car park

80% of people considered the fact that the car park was open 24 hours as very useful

89% of people felt that the fact that the pay machines accepted notes was very important

71% of people thought that Parksafe, Bold Lane car park was very good value for money in comparison to other car parks that they had used, 18% thought the car park was good value for money, 8% thought it average, 1% thought it compared poorly and 1% felt it compared very poorly

100% of those surveyed said they would use the car park again. 100% of those surveyed said they would recommend the car park to their friends and family
